Learn more about the electricity network operated by CEZ Distribution Bulgaria
CEZ Distribution Bulgaria operates and maintains the electricity distribution network on the territory of the city of Sofia, the district of Sofia and Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven and Lovech districts.
High-voltage networks (HV): The electricity network 110кV of CEZ Distribution Bulgaria has distributive function. It provides for the flexibility of the operating pattern and reserve opportunities.
Medium-voltage network (MV): The MV network consists mainly of direct terminals from110kv/MV switch gears. The MV network, supplied by a given substation functions independently from the others. The boundaries of the regions, supplied by the individual substations may be adjusted within limits, when necessary.
Key data of the MV cable network: The total length of the network is 23 408 km, including 6 491km cable lines and 16 917km air lines.
Low-voltage network (LV): The low-voltage network is cable and overhead. In the town area where the load is higher it is predominantly cable, while in the out-of-town areas – mostly overhead. The total length of the LV network is 34 494 km, including 9 212km cable lines and 25 282 km overhead lines.
Transformer units: The low-voltage network is supplied by 14 669 transformer units which have 20 247 transformers.
